EXPORT PREPARATION & DOCUMENTATION

More than timber.
A considered export process.

From harvesting and packing to shipment documentation, we work through the practical requirements with buyers, freight partners and service providers. The scope is confirmed for each order and destination.

01

Export licence & destination checks

Export planning starts with the timber species, source, product format and destination. We assess applicable Australian wood export licensing requirements and the buyer’s import conditions before confirming the shipment plan. Licence requirements and exemptions depend on the consignment.

02

Export packing & container loading

Packing is planned around log or board dimensions, weight and the agreed order. The process covers tallying the timber, preparing packs where appropriate, planning container loading and securing the cargo. Packing lists record the shipment details, with treatment and inspection stages coordinated before dispatch.

03

Fumigation & treatment

Fumigation or other treatment is arranged where required by the destination’s import conditions. The required method, timing and treatment documentation are confirmed for the timber and shipment; the same treatment does not apply to every export.

04

Phytosanitary requirements

Import conditions determine whether inspection and a phytosanitary certificate are needed. Where required, these steps are coordinated with the relevant providers and Australian authorities. A phytosanitary certificate is an official plant-health document issued by the responsible authority.

05

Timber legality & traceability

Documentation supports the timber’s source and lawful harvesting. Depending on the consignment, this may include supplier and purchase records, relevant harvesting or clearing approvals, and export documents. The required document set is checked against the destination and buyer’s due-diligence requirements.
